Anjan Sengupta

He is a triathlete by choice, Anjan Sengupta has recently completed his full distance IRONMAN in Nur Sultan, Kazakhastan.
His journey to becoming an IRONMAN began about six years back when he was 44 yrs old and suffering from high BP and was overweight by 20kgs. He started his journey to fitness from a 5k run after noticing few 60 and 70 years young ladies running on the promenade of Marine Drive in Mumbai. With is perseverance and hard work, he soon graduated to 10k, 21k, 42k and was running ultra-distance marathons such as TATA Ultra 50k, Ooty Ultra 60K, Chambal Ultra 63k, Garhwal Ultra 74k to name a few. He has successfully completed two back to back COMRADES Ultra Marathon of 90kms in South Africa between the cities of Durban and St Pietermaritzburg. in 2018 and 2019.
In the last couple of years he has shifted his focus to triathlons and has successfully completed IRONMAN 70.3 Goa and IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam and a full distance IRONMAN in Kazakhstan which includes 3.8km swimming, 180kms cycling and 42 km running.
